Data received by Right To Information Act, 2005, has revealed shocking recruitment at Jadavpur University group ‘D’ post. Though several candidates with higher educational qualifications participated in the group ‘D’ recruitment exam for the post of “Peon” (according to media report), Candidates with lower educational qualifications like Madhyamik and even class VIII passed or non-matric were mostly recruited by Jadavpur University administration.
Cons of JU recruitment exam for group ‘D’ post:-
- Final merit list was never published.
- JU admin never mentioned in the recruitment notice that final selection to be made only on the basis of interview (download JU recruitment notice from here). Only those candidates who passed written exam, came to know about it via interview call letter.
Here are shocking RTI data received from Jadavpur University on the basis of order from West Bengal Information Commission:-
Here are employment details of 8th passed or 10th failed brilliant candidates of general category who surprisingly got recruited after passing both written test and interview. News channels should take interview of them and it would be great if CBI invites them along with JU recruitment committee members for a lunch session at Nizam Palace. Departments of these candidates may be changed in the mean time.
